Gary Gastineau joined the American Stock Exchange in 1995 as Senior Vice President of New Product Development within the Exchange’s derivative securities division. Mr. Gastineau oversees the creation and development of new products, as well as the creation and calculation of AMEX-listed option indexes. Mr. Gastineau is a specialist in risk management and derivatives applications. He has prepared and published research for S.G. Warburg, Swiss Bank, Salomon Brothers and Kidder, Peabody. Mr. Gastineau is the author of The Options Manual (Third Edition, McGraw-Hill, 1998) and co-author of the Dictionary of Financial Risk Management (Fabozzi, 1999), as well as numerous journal articles. Mr. Gastineau is a frequent speaker on risk management policies and techniques, execution costs and regulatory issues. He serves on the editorial boards of the Financial Analysts Journal, the Journal of Derivatives, the Journal of Portfolio Management, Derivatives Quarterly and Financial Practice and Education. He is a graduate of both Harvard College and Harvard Business School.
