Philip Bruce holds the position of Managing Director, Strategy and Planning at the London Clearing House (LCH) and, working closely with the Chief Executive and members of the Board, has the responsibility of developing further the range of clearing services that may be provided by LCH and its Members to their customers in the medium term. He joined LCH after 14 years at LIFFE where he played a key role in its overall growth. He played a central role in the introduction of many of LIFFE’s successful contracts, was a leading designer of LIFFE’s automated trading system, APT, and was instrumental in setting up strategic alliances with exchanges in Japan and North America. Philip Bruce was educated at Imperial College, London where he read Engineering. He is married with three children.
