Edward J. Swan


Ned Swan's main areas of practice are derivatives, financial markets and electronic commerce. He has written and spoken widely and published three books. He is legal adviser to a number of governments, banks, markets, financial institutions and major companies in the UK, the US and many other countries, on all aspects of financial services regulation and trading including derivatives; electronic commerce; and securitisation. He is a leading International Legal Adviser on Financial Services Exchange Matters in London, New York, Chicago, Bahamas, St. Petersburg, Seoul, Warsaw, Budapest, Prague, Belgrade, Liverpool and California.
He was for five years a member of the Board of the University of London's Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and is now a Research Fellow at the Institute and a Visiting Professor of Financial Services Law at London Guildhall University. Ned has a JD degree from New York University and is a member of the New York Bar.
