Leonard J. Schuman (Len) has been appointed by the Singapore International Monetary Exchange (SIMEX) to the position of President of SIMEX America Ltd. He is also Senior Vice President of SIMEX. His responsibilities included the opening of a New York office in September, 1995 and coordinating SIMEX activities in North and South America, as well as Europe. From February 1990 through August 1995, Mr. Schuman was Executive Director of Marketing/Business Development for the International Petroleum Exchange of London. Len Schuman has thirty years of global experience in the Petroleum and Petrochemical Industry, which included twenty years experience in the derivatives market. he has held a variety f marketing, trading, and management positions and his previous employers include Conoco, The Cargill/Tradax Group and Clarendon, Ltd. Len Schuman has also operated his own risk management company, Triple S Petroleum, specializing in energy futures and options strategy. Mr. Schuman has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry (cum laude, City College of New York) and a MBA in Marketing (Mange Cum Laude, Fairleigh Dickinson University). He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He has also served as a part-time instructor at FDU where he initiated a graduate evening course in Futures and Options.
