Adam Gross is the founding Head of Strategy at MCX AFRICA Limited - a commodity spot and derivatives exchange to serve markets across the African continent. Adam has a background in corporate strategy, international development and commodity exchanges. As a corporate strategist, Adam contributed to the development of global best practices for world-leading multinational companies across a number of industry sectors. Specifically, he has consulted for MCX in India on the strategic development of the exchange which has subsequently become among the world's largest. As a member of the United Nations Secretariat, Adam was a specialist on the subject of commodity exchanges with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). During his period with UNCTAD, Adam worked with commodity exchanges in various emerging markets to analyse the impacts of commodity exchanges on economic and social development, and to identify strategic imperatives driving exchange development in the context of emerging markets.
