He was also instrumental in establishing SGX AsiaClear, the OTC clearing facility that started operations in 2006. At the end of his term as President, Mr. Ang Swee Tian took on a new role as Senior Advisor to SGX until the end of 2007. Prior to his distinguished career at SGX, Mr. Ang Swee Tian served in several departments of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). In March 2007, Mr. Ang Swee Tian became the first official from an Asian exchange to be inducted into the Futures Industry Association (FIA) Futures Hall of Fame, which was established to recognize and honour outstanding individuals for their contribution to the futures and options industry.
