Eric Wasescha, 34, started out in his professional career in 1993 in Bank Sarasin’s fund marketing, private banking and financial futures & options departments. He attended Basel University of Applied Sciences (formerly HWV) from 1996 to 1999, majoring in marketing. His thesis, commissioned by SWX Swiss Exchange as a preliminary feasibility study, examined ways in which SWX might provide research for market participants. Mr. Wasescha served as his institute’s delegate to the Swiss Students’ Union during the same period. Following his graduation he founded the Derivative Partners Group, devoting all his energies to the new company. Today he is its main shareholder, board chairman and CEO. In April 2006 he co-founded the Swiss Structured Products Association (SVSP), whose business office he manages part-time as executive director.
