Ms. Gaiti Rabbani joined DMCC in May 2003 as Director – Business Development and now holds the position of Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. Within her role, she is responsible for Corporate Communications, Marketing, Sales and Client Relations for the entire spectrum of commodities activities, including but not limited to, Precious Commodities (Gold and precious metals, Diamonds, Coloured Stones and Pearls), Base Metals and Steel, Energy related products, Soft commodities and Commodity financing options. Key achievements within her current marketing role have included the creation and launch of the Dubai Diamond Exchange, the Dubai Tea Trading Centre, the Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange and the Dubai Pearl Exchange, alongside managing a sales team to attract and facilitate over 1000 free zone businesses at DMCC. Educated in the UK, Ms. Rabbani has been a resident of Dubai for over 13 years and specializes in launching and managing new brands from feasibility through to brand identity, positioning and development of international marketing strategies. The past nine years of her career have been engaged with the Government of Dubai, developing and launching new projects - ultimately establishing Dubai as a business destination and positioning the Emirate on the global map.
