Dr. Sergey Mayorov

Sergei Mayorov is a Director for New Product Development of the Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (Micex), which is the primary financial marketplace in Russia. In his current position, Mr. Mayorov is responsible for assessing all new projects of the Micex group regarding development of both market infrastructure and markets themselves. In previous positions with the Micex, he was in charge of government securities market and derivatives market. Sergei Mayorov graduated from the Moscow State University (economic faculty) in 1981. While working in various academic institutes of Soviet Union/Russia, he specialised in market economies studies and got Ph(D). Since 1992 he has been with the industry, and since 1993 - with the Micex.
