Bürgenstock 2006 > Introduction

Join us on Bürgenstock in September !

It’s hard to believe – it seems just like yesterday that the Red Arrows and our friends from London entertained us on the Bürgenstock and already the 2006 edition is just around the corner. This upcoming forum will be the last one on Bürgenstock for at least two years, as the estate will close at the end of October this year for an extensive re-furbishing and upgrading.

I cordially invite you to attend this conference, a unique gathering of representatives and members of exchanges, clearing organizations, market participants, supporting organizations and regulatory agencies in this very special environment.

As you can see from the schedule, as for last year, we will start on Wednesday afternoon so as to give us enough time to discuss some of the many issues that our industry is confronted with. A broad range of topics will be discussed, including technology, environmental trading, MiFID, structured products and credit derivatives, just to name a few. We have no doubt that not only the panel discussions will be interesting, but the ensuing discussions rewarding and stimulating.

On Thursday, we will hold again the Emerging Markets Forum as well as the Regulators meeting (for which separate invitations will go out). We strongly believe in these two Forums as we find it very important for this category of participants to keep their own platform but also to be able to participate in the main conference. As in the past and to keep up with our reputation, excellent social programs will enhance the formal business sessions, and I take this opportunity to express our gratitude to all of you that have supported us in the past and those who do it again this year. Without your help and generosity it would be impossible for us to keep the standard set! I am confident that it will be a memorable event again this year.

As already mentioned, this will be the last event on “top of the hill” for a couple of years and I am therefore looking forward to seeing many of you again (and for some to greet them to Bürgenstock for the first time) to celebrate with us a proper ”au-revoir to Bürgenstock” in September!

Further information will be implemented on this website on a regular basis, and as things get organised. But as many of you know, the space on Bürgenstock is limited, so please sign up early.
