John Wilson

John Wilson is Group Security Director for Euronext. His responsibilities encompass oversight of Business Continuity, Physical Security, and IT Security across the Euronext Group.

John is Chairman of the Joint Exchanges Committee, Business Continuity Group which brings together all the business continuity managers from the London based exchanges, clearing and settlement organisations into one group with the aim of ensuring a planned and rehearsed response to events that may impact on the London infrastructure. He is a member of the FSA’s Pandemic Flu Discussion Group, and is a participant in the Euronext College of Regulators Working Party in relation to business continuity. Previously he was a member of the team that built the Tripartite Marketwide Exercise in 2005 and the Industry Support Group for the FSA’s Resilience Benchmarking Exercise.

Prior to assuming his present responsibilities John was Head of Business Continuity at Euronext.liffe, Euronext’s derivatives exchange. During that time he successfully implemented a new work area recovery solution for the Exchange and developed and launched a new crisis management regime. He took over responsibility for business continuity at Liffe in mid 1999, having previously managed a development team, and been involved in establishing new project management standards within the Exchange. Prior to joining Liffe, he was a management consultant principally involved in IT and project management, working in both the private and public sector. His first exposure to disaster recovery and business continuity was some twenty years ago when he was involved with the development of a multi-site processing capability for a major UK bank.
