Simon Lyon is Client Development Director with Global Financial Services at Detica, a business and technology consulting firm, where he is leading the development of an advanced product to accelerate the speed of complex financial applications. Prior to Detica Simon was Managing Director and co-founder of Evolution – an IT consulting firm that specialised in the capital markets sector, which was acquired by Detica in January 2006. Simon has extensive experience in client engagement, project management and system development projects primarily within investment banking and more recently in insurance. He came to consulting after working for three years at Goldman Sachs in London – prior to that he managed professional services for Open Image Systems based in the UK. He has worked at a number of investment banks throughout Europe, in a wide range of business areas – from front office through to back office and operations. In particular he has worked within Equities, Fixed Income, Wealth Management, Asset Management, Compliance, Books and Records, Tax and Legal.
