Michel Girardin

Born in Rome in 1958, Michel Girardin is a Member of Senior Management and the Economic adviser of Union Bancaire Privée - Asset Management. As such, he shapes UBP investment strategy for Institutional accounts, with an emphasis on Alternative Investments. He is also in charge of Italian institutional clients. He has more than 15 years experience as Head of Research and Chief Investment Officer for Private Banks in Geneva and Zurich. His experience includes that of managing global Equity and Bond Funds as well as an Asian Fund of Hedge Funds. He was also a senior economist for Data Resources Inc. in Milan. A professor of Finance at the University of Lausanne and Geneva, Michel holds a Ph.D. and B.A. in Economics from the University of Lausanne and a Master’s degree of Science en Economics from the London School of Economics.
