Jean-François CONIL-LACOSTE is Chief Executive Officer of Powernext SA, the Paris based Power and CO2 Exchange, since its inception in July 2001. He is also Vice-Chairman of the board of Belpex, the Belgian Power Exchange since July 2005. From 1997 to 2001, he served as Chief Executive of Euronext Ltd in London and is a member of the Consultative Working Group of CESR since 2004. Graduated from ESSEC in 1976, he spent ten years as a commodity trader at Louis-Dreyfus in Paris and Buenos-Aires before moving to stockbroker Ferri, where he managed the fixed income and futures department.
