Mr. Amaral is the International and Government Relations Director of Bolsa de Mercadorias & Futuros - BM&F, the Brazilian Commodities and Futures Exchange, the largest commodities and derivatives contract market in Latin America. He is also the Managing Director of BM&F (USA) Inc., the U.S. wholly owned subsidiary of BM&F. He holds the Chief Representative position at the BM&F Shanghai Representative Office. Mr. Amaral was formerly the General Counsel of BM&F and a senior economist for the Exchange Technical and Planning Division. Before joining BM&F, Mr. Amaral worked as an international officer and trader for Brazilian banks and foreign financial institutions. He holds bachelor degrees in law and economics, a MBA in Finance (IBMEC-SP), and a Ph.D. in Law (USP-SP). He also participates on industry and government panels, educational seminars and academic conferences as lecturer, panelist and professor, reflecting his first hand knowledge and experience in this industry.
