Roy Leighton is Chairman of Nymex Europe Limited. Roy was, previously, UK Chairman CALYON SA the merged international bank of Credit Agricole SA and Credit Lyonnais SA whose derivatives operations include the businesses formerly known as Carr and Rouse. Roy has been based in the City of London for thirty years and has travelled extensively in the world’s emerging markets during a career in investment banking and management consultancy. He is a director of International Financial Services London (IFSL) the body responsible for promotion of the UK’s financial services abroad, and, chairs their Members Forum. He is Chairman Designate of the Practitioner Panel under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000; Chairman of the Industry Advisory Group for the Westminster Parliamentary APG for Wholesale Financial Markets & Services established in 2003. He is a visiting Professor at City University and a Director of the UK’s Financial Sector Skills Council. Roy has chaired the World Bank’s International Task Force for Commodities and is a Trustee of Alzheimers Research Trust. He is also a Council Member of the British Consultants and Contractors Bureau (BCCB).
