Garry Jones

Garry Jones was CEO and President of BrokerTec Europe Ltd, before the merger with ICAP Plc and became CEO of ICAP Electronic Broking, Europe after the transaction. ICAP Electronic Broking (IEB), harnesses ICAP’s electronic capabilities across multiple asset classes including bonds, repo, eonia, swaps, CDS and foreign exchange, and offers full STP and post trade feeds across the entire product range. IEB is now the largest electronic broker in the world, transacting over $ 500 billion a day.

Garry worked in New York for Merrill Lynch and Bankers Trust in a variety of derivatives and bond trading roles, before returning to the UK in 1991. He was at Paribas from 1992-1997, initially in proprietary trading, and later as Global Head of Bond Research and Co-Head of European Sales, and was one of the key architects of the bank's successful business strategy for EMU. Garry joined Daiwa Securities in 1997 as Managing Director and Head of Global Secondary Bonds, sales, trading and research.

He has an M.A from Oxford University and an MBA from Stanford Business School in California. In his role at ICAP, he works with Fixed Income professional clients across Europe to implement ICAP's interdealer electronic trading solutions.
