Hans-Jörg Baumann

Hans-Jörg Baumann, Chairman, Senior Partner of Swiss Capital Group acts as CEO of Swiss Capital Alternative Investments AG and manages the overall activities of the Asset Management Activities.

Hans-Jörg Baumann graduated from the University of Zurich in 1985 with a Master in Business Administration and is a Swiss national. Mr. Baumann joined Union Bank of Switzerland Zurich in 1985 as a capital market and derivatives specialist. In 1991 he moved to UBS Geneva as Head of the Stock Exchange Department. In 1993 he returned to UBS Zurich to assume the role of Head of Trading and Sales Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange. In 1996 his role was expanded to Head of Trading and Sales Switzerland including equity, fixed income, foreign exchange and commodities. He was a Member of the Board of the Swiss Stock Exchange. In 1998 he left UBS Zurich to co-found Swiss Capital Group and Swiss Capital Alternative Investments AG.

Swiss Capital Alternative Investments AG is an independent and privately held partnership founded in 1998 by. The company comprises today of 50 financial professionals and offers "Alternative Investment Services and Products" for Pension Funds, Banks and Private Investors. The company has established several regulated as well as tailor made open end Funds of Hedge Funds. Swiss Capital Alternative Investments AG is regulated by EBK (Swiss Federal Banking Commission) as a Securities Dealer. Swiss Capital Group has executed more than CHF 4bn Corporate Finance related transactions for predominately Switzerland domiciled companies and has structured, priced and distributed more than CHF 5 Bn of Structured Products for several Swiss Institutional Clients. Swiss Capital Group currently actively manages approx CHF 1.6 Mio bn of Assets where of approx CHF 1.5 Bn Hedge Fund of Funds Money.
