Total is active in European and US markets for its natural gas trading, including LNG trading in the Atlantic basin, and in European markets for its power trading. Philippe with Total Gas and Power is a founder member of the French Powernext exchange.

Prior to the TotalFina and Elf merger, Philippe worked for Elf Trading SA in Geneva as Deputy General Manager of refined products and derivatives trading.

He began his trading career in the end of the eighties with Elf Trading SA being one of the pioneers of the oil derivatives market and during the ensuing years he has developed extensive knowledge and experience of all aspects of trading within Oil, Gas and Electricity.
