Takamichi Hamada

Mr. HAMADA Takamichi is the President of the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM). He is also the President of the Research Institute of Market Structure (RIMS). He served as the Adviser of the Exchange in 2002. Prior to joining TOCOM, he worked for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (previously known as the Ministry of International Trade and Industry) from 1975, where he became Deputy Director-General for Industrial Science and Technology Policy in 2001. From 1999 to 2001, he also served as Director General, General Affairs Department at New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).
