Dr. Matthias Ganz

Dr Matthias Ganz has been Chief Operating Officer and member of the Executive Committee of Deutsche Börse AG, responsible for Operations, since 2003. In addition, Matthias is Executive Director of the Board of Deutsche Börse’s subsidiary Clearstream International S.A. and Chief Executive Officer Clearstream Banking AG. He also serves as General Manager, FWB Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse (Frankfurt Stock Exchange). Matthias Ganz has been with Deutsche Börse Group since 1993, and has held different positions, including Member of the Executive Management of Deutsche Kassenverein AG and Head of Strategic Planning and Controlling. Prior to joining Deutsche Börse Group, Matthias Ganz worked for Schweizer Allgemeine Finanz Holding AG (Swiss Reinsurance Group) and McKinsey & Company. Matthias Ganz holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (Dr. oec) from the University of St. Gallen and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami, where he was a recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship.
