Rudolf Ferscha

Rudolf Ferscha, 43, joined the Management Board of Deutsche Börse AG in Frankfurt, Germany on November 1, 2000 where he is responsible for the derivatives and cash markets division. He is Chief Executive Officer of Eurex Frankfurt AG, Eurex Clearing AG, Eurex Zürich AG as well as Managing Director of the derivatives exchange Eurex.

In addition, he holds the following posts: member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse Systems AG, member of the Supervisory Board of Xlaunch AG, member of the Supervisory Board of Clearstream Banking AG, member of the Board of Eurex Bonds GmbH, member of the Board of Directors of The Clearing Corporation as well as Chairman of the Board of Eurex US.

Prior to that, Rudolf Ferscha had worked for the Goldman Sachs Group L. P. He joined Goldman Sachs International in London in 1997 as an Executive Director. In 1998 he was appointed to the Board of Directors of Goldman Sachs & Co. OHG, a bank located in Frankfurt which specializes in investment banking, mergers and acquisitions advisory services, corporate finance, securities and derivatives trading and private banking. In his role as Chief Operating Officer of Goldman Sachs & Co. oHG he was responsible for the areas of finance, technology, treasury, operations, human resources, credit, audit, law and compliance. From 1998 he also served on the Board of Directors of the sister company, Goldman Sachs & Co. Wertpapier GmbH, a financial services company specializing in the warrant business.

From 1990 to 1997 Mr. Ferscha had served as Managing Director at the London SFA regulated securities trading house, First Austrian International, where he had held sole executive management responsibility of the firm from 1992. Before that, he had worked as a corporate finance and capital markets lawyer.
