Andy Gooch

Andy Gooch joined Gill & Duffus Limited in 1977 as a trainee and by 1980 he had been appointed manager of the accounts department with responsibility over treasury, foreign exchange settlements, base metals, manufacturing accounts (British Cocoa Mills, Hull), commission and trading profits.

In 1982 Andy moved to Premier Man Limited as oil futures broker to a wide customer base of both physical oil trading companies and commodity funds.

Andy joined Rouse Woodstock in 1984 as manager of the energy department with responsibility for IPE and NYMEX and in 1991 he joined the derivative trading department to trade middle distillate derivatives in Europe and the Far East. He became the head of commodity derivative trading for Credit Lyonnais SA in 1995. This group has the trading responsibility for crude oil and products, natural gas, soft commodities and base metals. In 1997 his responsibility was widened to the head of the commodities product line for Credit Lyonnais Rouse Group and he was appointed Managing Director, Commodities of Credit Lyonnais Rouse Limited.

In 1999, the product line was further consolidated to include the clearing of all exchange traded products. As Global Head of Commodities and Clearing Services, Andy is the Chief Executive Officer of Credit Lyonnais Rouse Ltd and Credit Lyonnais Rouse Derivatives. In addition to Credit Lyonnais Corporate Directorships he is also a trustee for a number of employee trusts and the Credit Lyonnais UK Pension Scheme.

Andy was elected to the LME board in September 1998 and is also a director at the International Petroleum Exchange of London Ltd and IPE Holdings plc as well as a member of the IPE Risk and Audit Committee, IPE Nomination Committee and IPE Renumeration Committee.

Andy is married and has two children.
