ANTHONY BELCHAMBERS is a member of the Bar (Inner Temple) and is currently Chief Executive of the Futures and Options Association. Previously, he served as General Counsel to the Joint Exchanges Committee (JEC) where his responsibilities included co-ordinating exchange activities and lobbying on behalf of the JEC in relation to international, EC and UK regulation, taxation issues and the role of futures and options generally. Prior to joining the JEC, he held the position of Company Secretary and General Counsel to the Association of Futures Brokers and Dealers (AFBD) which has since merged into the Securities and Futures Authority (SFA). He played a significant role in the application for recognition of AFBD as an SRO, including drafting its rules, holding seminars and serving as in-house counsel.
