Patrice Renault is the Chief Executive Officer of Clearnet, Paris based clearing house with two branches (Amsterdam, Brussels), and a member of the EURONEXT Executive Committee. Besides clearing for Euronext, Clearnet clears for important trading and matching platforms such as MTS, Brokertec, Viel and Cantor Fitzgerald. Patrice Renault graduated from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques of Paris - Sciences Politiques - in 1978, MSC in Economics in 1975. He began his carrier at the Bank of France as assistant manager of a regional branch before joining the General Inspection Body in 1983. He has over 12 years of experience working in the surveillance, the regulation, risk and clearing fields. Patrice Renault has been playing a key role in the internationalisation of Clearnet’s scope of activity, especially in the merger of Amsterdam and Brussels’ clearing houses into Clearnet, which is now the first real pan-European Clearing House, since February 1st, 2001. Patrice Renault was elected first Chairman of the CCP12 association, for a one year period. The main role of the Chairman is to represent CCP12 in other forums and to co-ordinate CCP12 working groups addressing issues arising from the identified objectives: CCP12 includes central counterparties from all geographic areas (the Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania).
