Carsten Murawski serves as Chief Executive Officer of CapCLEAR Limited. He is responsible for the company’s strategic development and operations. CapCLEAR operates a clearinghouse for OTC commodity markets. The company offers clearing, settlement and complementary services to serve the needs of traditional and emerging commodity markets such as electricity, natural gas, oil, base metals and bandwidth. Born in Germany, Mr Murawski graduated from Bayreuth University with a master’s degree in business administration and economics. He subsequently joined J.P. Morgan where he worked in the firm’s global investment banking division as a member of the technology, media and telecoms group in New York and London. In January 2000 he co-founded CapCLEAR to set up the first clearinghouse focusing on OTC commodity markets.
