As Chief Executive Officer of onExchange, Rich Jaycobs drives the overall direction of the onExchange and is directly responsible for the management, growth and success of the company’s business operations. Mr. Jaycobs joins onExchange with over 20 years of experience in the futures industry. Prior to the formation of onExchange in February 2000, Mr. Jaycobs created Acknowledge Systems, LLC, to develop trading engines and numerous market database applications using Web technologies. Before founding Acknowledge Systems, Mr. Jaycobs was Director of Business Development at the investment firm Computer Trading Corporation. From 1993 through 1995 Mr. Jaycobs was the Chief Technology Officer at Tudor Investment Corporation. From 1986 until 1993, Mr. Jaycobs was the Managing Director of the Financial Instrument Exchange (FINEX) in New York where he and his staff were responsible for the exchange’s new contract development, marketing, education, and research. Mr. Jaycobs also founded the Futures Industry Association’s Information Technology Division, where he held the title of President. Mr. Jaycobs began his career as a Treasury Analyst at the Singer Company. Mr. Jaycobs is a frequent speaker and panelist at technology and derivatives industry conferences. His recent engagements have included presentations at the International Futures Industry Conference, CFO Magazine’s Capital Markets Conference, Online Energy Exchanges 2000, Futures & Options EXPO 2000, eB2Bmarketplace World Conference, NetMarketMakers groundZero3, Online Exchanges 2000, ICG’s Sales & Marketing Forum, and the Risk Technology Conference 2000. In addition, Mr. Jaycobs has written numerous articles on corporate risk management, especially in the area of foreign exchange. His articles have appeared in @Markets, Risk, Euromoney, and Institutional.
