Gergely Horváth has been managing the work of KELER Ltd. for four years following ten years of commercial and retail banking activity. He acquired experience in a wide range of banking activities: treasury, traditional and special company financing (draft, bond, leasing, factoring, export factoring), retail operations (deposit, car financing) as well as private banking activity belonged to his responsibilities. As a Deputy General Manager of Merkantil Bank he was also in charge of the IT and planning/controlling departments. In the recent years Keler Ltd. has been improved significantly both financially and operationally. The clearing house has become one of the first users of middleware technology in the region which enabled them to be the 'main contractor' in the development with 9 software suppliers. The project delivered real time gross settlement (RTGS) for both cash and securities by September 1999, a new derivative system with real time risk management, an STP cross border and a securities L&B module. KELER has won Enterprise Application Integration Journal 'Solution of the Year Awards 2001'. He is the founding General Secretary of CEECSDA established on KELER Ltd.’s initiative with a seat in Budapest. In 2000/2001 he is the Chairman of AFM, the Association of Futures Markets. He obtained his MSC degree as industrial engineer from the Budapest Technical University, his economist degree from the Budapest University of Economics, his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, Katz Graduate School of Business.
