Baron Hans-Willem van Tuyll


Hans-Willem van Tuyll, born 1938, was educated in the Netherlands. After having performed compulsory military service (1958 –’59), he joined Royal Interocean Lines, a major Dutch shipping company and was posted to South Africa (1961 –’65) and Hong Kong (1965 –’69). In 1969 he joined the CARGILL group and occupied the following positions: grain trader in São Paulo, Brazil (1970); responsible for building and starting up a Holiday Inn franchise hotel in Gent, Belgium (1970 –’74); ferro alloys trader at the Cargill subsidiary C. Tennant Sons in New York (1974 –’75); managing the Asian operations for C. Tennant Sons from Tokyo, Japan (1975 –’79); assistant manager non grain investments Cargill International Geneva, Switzerland (1979 –’82); since 1983 various functions with Cargill Investor Services in Geneva, Switzerland.

At the present time Director- Global Managed Money Europe in this location.

Mr. van Tuyll is married and has four children.
