Jean-François Conil Lacoste

Jean-François graduated from the French business school ESSEC in 1976. He then joined the Louis-Dreyfus Group for a period of eight years being an international commodity trader with various management positions in both France and Argentina. He moved to Ferri SA – a leading French brokerage house – in 1986. He worked at Ferri SA until 1997 as Director of the Fixed Income and Futures division and has also been quite involved in the field of institutional asset management. He has been particularly instrumental in the launch of the first on-shore futures funds (FCIMT).

Jean-François is a Director of FOA, the London based Futures & Options Association. He also serves on the Executive Committee of the Alternative Investment Management Association ( AIMA ), which he chaired from 1994 to 1997.
