Upon completing his degree in Economics in Munich, Uto Baader knew where he would find his professional fulfilment. He learned about the securities business in the stock market department of Bayerische Landesbank, where he advanced to become head of the department for foreign share trading during his 13 years at the bank. In 1983, Uto Baader was admitted as a specialist to the Bavarian Stock Exchange. Four years later, after a successful career in Munich, he was admitted to the Stuttgart Stock Exchange. In 1996 he acquired a majority interest in the quoted company Ballmaier & Schultz Wertpapier AG, Frankfurt, and joined the company's Executive Board. Two years later he merged the two companies to form Baader Wertpapierhandelsbank AG, and took over the management of the newly formed financial institution. Baader Wertpapierhandelsbank AG has a current market capitalization of more than 700 Mio. Euro. Uto Baader is Chairman of the Executive Board responsible for Securities Trading, Investor Relations and Personnel. He is also majority shareholder of Baader Wertpapierhandelsbank AG.
