Patrick Young


Patrick Young is founder and CEO of Erivatives.com, the newly launched company which moves beyond derivatives in information and markets. Its leading publication, AppliedErivatives.com has over 14,000 readers in some 130 countries world wide. Its sister publication ErivativesReview.com will be launched in the middle of September. Erivatives.com is an infomediary and thought leader with a strong global orientation towards delivering practitioner-led services.

Formerly a broker and technical analyst with Tullett & Tokyo and Daiwa Europe, Patrick has consulted to various leading banks, brokers and exchanges in Asia, Africa, Europe and America. Since 1995 Patrick has lived in Italy, although much of his time is devoted to travelling throughout the world’s markets.

Patrick is the author of the bestselling "Capital Market Revolution" (Financial Times Prentice Hall 1999), devoted to the future of finance in an online world. He is involved with various initiatives in the trading world encompassing B2B and more traditional market models. A sequel volume to Capital Market Revolution will be published in 2001.

Patrick has been a keynote speaker at financial conferences throughout the world, and lectured at many leading educational institutions such as INSEAD. He appears regularly on radio and television world wide, including CNN, the BBC World Service and has a fortnightly slot on CNBC Europe’s Squawk Box.

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Patrick is a lifelong classic car enthusiast, having dealt in old racing cars while at school. He worked as a professional automotive photojournalist before entering the city of London. An occasional classic rally competitor when time permits, Patrick is also a devotee of ballet and opera.
