Dr. Edward J. Swan


Ned is a partner in the corporate department at Simmons & Simmons (an international law firm of about 800 lawyers) and part of a team of 5 partners and 12 lawyers working on financial services work of all types, both nationally and internationally. Ned’s practice covers commodities, derivatives and financial services regulation, and he is particularly involved in the electronic commerce and energy sectors.

Experience

Over the last two decades, Ned has advised the World Bank, governments, exchanges, banks, brokers, regulators, grid operators, power generators, traders, oil and gas producers around the world on all aspects of financial services regulation and derivatives trading (both on-exchange and OTC) in London, New York, Washington, Chicago, Bahamas, St Petersburg, Seoul, Warsaw, Manila, Budapest, Prague, Liverpool, Ireland and California.
